Data Analyst/Bioinformatician, Level ARAS/BRF

  • Based in the School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences located at City East campus
  • Full-time, fixed term contract until 30 May 2021
  • Salary range: $87,280 - $116,567 per annum (plus super)

About the Job

The Data Analyst/Bioinformatician will undertake research-related activities for the project entitled Large scale evidence generation for the utilisation and safety of biologic medicines, a project funded by the NHMRC. You will develop programming code and methods of analysis for this multi country distributed network study of the trends, treatment patterns and adverse events associated with the use of biologic medicines.

Skills and Experience

You will have a post graduate qualification in population health, epidemiology, statistics, informatics, computer science or a relevant discipline along with experience in data analysis using statistical software such as R, python or SAS in large datasets.  You will also have demonstrated methodological expertise in undertaking analysis in a health related area and experience in diverse datasets.  Your high level communication skills along with strong interpersonal skills are essential in this role.
