About the opportunity
We are seeking to recruit a Project Manager to support the delivery of an exciting new project at the University of Sydney. This is an opportunity to work on a project from its inception and establish the project organisation structure, embed a governance and reporting structure and effectively manage activities to ensure milestones and deliverables are realized. This is a hands-on role where you will have the opportunity to become involved in all aspects of project management and coordination and manage key stakeholder relationships.

- experience in project management and managing complex projects
- understanding and consistent application of project management competencies including scope, time, cost, quality, HR, communications, cost, risk, procurement and integration
- experience managing a diverse group of key internal/external stakeholders on large or complex projects
- experience project managing multiple work streams, or leading large complex projects and ability to work according to strict deadlines and manage various demands
- excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with sound negotiating and conflict resolution skills and a demonstrated level of tact and discretion in dealing with a variety of matters
- experience working in a university or government environment (ideal not essential)
