An opportunity has arisen as part of the University of Bristol’s decision to separate the School of Economics, Finance and Management (EFM) into three stand-alone schools: Accounting and Finance: Economics, and Management. We have appointed two School Managers and are seeking a third  to help lead the professional services team through the transition period and, after the transition is complete (anticipated to be August 2020), manage the professional services team in one of the three schools (allocation of School Managers to schools will be determined once the final School Manager role is filled).

The School Manager is central to the effective operation of each school. The successful applicants will play a pivotal role in the School’s development and ongoing operation after August 2020. The role is diverse, challenging, and ultimately rewarding. You will work closely with professional services and academic colleagues in the School, Faculty and wider University and be entrusted with significant responsibility.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic and experienced manager, able to demonstrate exceptional strategic and operational thinking. A proven record of successfully managing large and complex organisations and budgets is essential. It is desirable that candidates have managed departments or schools within a university setting.

If successful at the telephone interview stage, an invitation will be extended to take part in the full selection process, which will be for the whole day on a date to be confirmed.
