Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to develop and deliver Chiropractic provision at the University of Central Lancashire. We are seeking a full time Senior Lecturer in Chiropractic to join our occupational therapy team within the Rehabilitation Sciences academic team within the School of Health Sciences. This post will take on a course leadership role and play a key role in the development of Chiropractic education within the School. Applications must be enthusiastic and visionary with previous experience of teaching/lecturing in a higher education environment within the Chiropractic field.

As course leader for the Integrated Chiropractic Masters degree programme, the appointee will undertake course leadership roles and facilitate the teaching, learning and assessment of several modules within the discipline area of Chiropractic practice. Successful applicants will be support with their continuing professional development via engagement with their own research, and allied knowledge transfer/income generation.

The successful applicant will be registered as a full member of their relevant regulatory Bodies (GCC), have a higher degree in a related area of study and experience of contemporary Chiropractic practice. The post holder will be committed to the success of students and be able to show that they can effectively support learning and teaching in the classroom and in practice areas. They will also be a Fellows of HEA/Pg Cert in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education or have evidence if being able to achieve such a designation.
