Marketing and External Affairs are seeking a talented and driven Head of Communications to join our team. The post-holder will be instrumental in transforming our current approach to communications, reviewing all aspects of execution and delivery across all levels. This will range from setting out our strategic position, our media engagement plan and the required broad-based content across a range of social and digital channels.

This is a senior management role and the successful individual with be expected to lead by example and to develop a culture of high performance. To achieve this, an enthusiastic and proven management style is required, alongside experience of leading and developing others. The ability to identify, implement and embed both the right culture and efficient processes to ensure individuals and the team deliver outstanding results is key to this role.

Person Specification:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Outstanding communicator and ability to develop and implement communication strategy and plans that combine traditional and digital media.
  • Experienced leadership capability; can demonstrate the ability to build and develop high performance.
  • A passion for education and an understanding of the value and contribution of Higher Education.
