The Careers and Enterprise team supports all Queen Mary University of London students to develop their employability during and after graduation.

Our support includes a suite of programmes to enable c. 500 students a year to develop entrepreneurial skills and launch business ideas via networking events, training workshops, seed funding competitions, 1-1 appointments and an 8-week incubator programme.

The Enterprise Advisor works in conjunction with the Enterprise Manager to coordinate and deliver Queen Mary’s student enterprise programme, leading on certain elements and taking on a student caseload.

The successful candidate will have an understanding of the challenges of setting up a business or social enterprise, gained through experience as an entrepreneur or enterprise educator. We are seeking candidates with experience of coordinating events, projects or programmes (in or out of Higher Education) with an inclination to work collaboratively with students and staff across Queen Mary. Importantly, candidates must have the skills to facilitate a group training and to guide students in 1-1 appointments along their enterprise journey.

The role is full time at 35 hours per week and is a permanent contract. Salary will be in the range of £33,615 to £39,483 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave and access to a pension scheme and interest free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
