Job description

This position is an excellent secondment, or fixed term, opportunity for aspiring individuals to join an exciting and innovative Health Education England (HEE) funded programme of work aimed at implementing findings from the Reducing Pre-registration Attrition and Improving Retention (RePAIR) study.

The RePAIR Implementation Programme seeks to second 4 part-time RePAIR Fellows, in collaboration with the University of Central Lancashire. RePAIR Fellows will be either a registered nurse, midwife or allied health professional, working clinically with students studying programmes leading to registration in one of these regulated professions, or a member of staff at an HEI delivering one of these programmes.

An understanding of the RePAIR project outcomes would be advantageous. The post-holders will be responsible for facilitating the implementation of the Domains of the RePAIR Implementation Programme in their region:

  1. Ensure the highest quality practice learning environments
  2. Learner clinical supervision and support
  3. Preceptorship Toolkit
  4. On-line clinical placement App

The RePAIR Implementation Programme includes nursing , midwifery and the allied health professions (AHPs).

You must be highly motivated and well organised, with an ability to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels. Highly developed organisational skills and the capacity to balance and prioritise workload is essential. You must also be competent in using technology to fulfil the requirements of the role.

The role will include working closely with other HEE RePAIR Fellows, clinical colleagues, and other key stakeholders to develop strong working relationships and regional partnerships.

The post-holder will be required to travel extensively across the region and attend national meetings when required.
