Job description
A part-time vacancy has arisen for a Security Assistant to join our busy service. The post holder will be required to work evenings from 1800hrs to 2200hrs Monday to Thursday, 1725hrs to 2100hrs on a Friday, each shift starting and finishing an hour earlier during vacation time.
The role is working as part of the security team to assist in locking and securing University premises in a customer focused manner. Applicants will be required to carry out a pre-lock process, operate intruder panels, and will need the ability to behave tactfully, diplomatically and maintain confidentiality. Candidates should be experienced in following verbal and written instructions, using mobile communications and communicate clearly. A flexible approach to duties is required as some additional overtime duties are available outside core working hours. Candidates will need to be physically fit to cover the numerous university buildings and to wear uniform and be of smart appearance at all times.
