We are currently recruiting for a Lecturer in Music
We are a small but successful subject team, delivering a unique and distinctive suite of music programs with close attention to the student experience. Our approach to music is holistic, encompassing all genres and styles, with a strong emphasis on ensemble music and on experiential learning. There are strands in performance, composition and community music/education. All staff are research active, with emphasis on practice-based research with close links to teaching.
We are seeking to recruit a versatile musician who can contribute to the delivery of a wide range of practical and theoretical modules across the music programs and take an active role in the many practical activities offered by the music department. The successful applicant will be highly skilled in leading practical sessions in musical theatre, popular music or folk music, as performers and/or composers, as well as having a strong theoretical underpinning of these subject areas.
