The Student Records Coordinator provides functional support coordinating processes and delivering services for academic programs in the College of Liberal and Professional Studies (LPS) and Fels Institute of Government. This position is a member of the Student Services and Records team and provides functional leadership for reporting, auditing and compliance processes in student records, which include auditing of student records data, adherence to academic policy/calendar, financial adjustments and maintaining compliance with federal and state laws regarding the filing, organizing and archiving of student records. The position is also responsible for creation and maintenance of student records in SRS, processing academic & financial adjustments, coordinating special registration populations, posting scholarships in University systems, appointment scheduling, and providing support for special events related to faculty, students, and programs. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task. The ability to think critically and analytically, and solve problems in an environment with competing priorities is essential.

High school diploma and 5 to 7 years of experience in an office setting with public/customer contact, or equivalent combination of education and experience, are required. Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of experience strongly preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong organizational and filing skills; intermediate level skills in MS Office; basic understanding of databases. Experience in financial or accounting areas and facility with Excel desirable. Must be willing to work evenings and occasional weekends as needed. Preferred: experience in an academic environment; knowledge of SRS (referenced above) or similar system for collecting student data (e.g. Banner, Datatel).
