As a Lecturer in Geotechnical Engineering you will be responsible for delivering modules related to Geotechnical Engineering at the University of Leeds and as part of a joint programme with South West Jiaotong University, China.
Ground engineering at the University of Leeds includes geological and geotechnical hazards identification and mitigation, contaminated ground, ground as a source of energy, ground water conditions, design and construction of geotechnical structures, surface and subsurface infrastructure, robotics in geotechnical engineering, constitutive modelling and software development. This diverse activity takes place in the Schools of Civil Engineering and Earth and Environment providing excellent opportunities for teaching, research and development.
This post supports the development of a new MSc programme in geotechnical engineering which compliments an existing programme in engineering geology. Our MSc programmes are widely recognised for their high calibre academic training, and the development of strong skills in terms of critical thinking, independent learning and team work. You will join an international team of academics providing an opportunity to deliver a state of the art programme that merges research and practice to create an exceptional student experience.
