Overview:

The University aims to achieve 100% student data quality and significant improvement in the student experience, by utilizing expert knowledge of the structure of SITS (and related student lifecycle applications) and its deployment at Queen Mary as led by the Academic Registry.  All new developments within student lifecycle applications are designed with this in mind.

The Student Systems Developer will play a full and active role in the development of student information applications within the University, ensuring the system meets the strategic needs of Queen Mary.  In particular, the needs of its users should be met by: fully understanding and exploiting the system’s capabilities; understanding the business needs of its users; providing effective training and documentation; and the timely provision of day-to-day support.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must be able to demonstrate that you have used the following skills in your previous development work:

  • SITS, e:Vision development (Back & Front end) – Process Manager, VISTAs, Tasks, SRLs
  • Experience in relevant technologies and skills such as SQL, HTML, CSS

The post is full time (35 hours per week). Starting salary will be in the range of £37,411 - £44,015 per annum (pro rata), inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
