Clinical Research Fellow in Hepatology
Are you medically qualified and ambitious with an interest in research and liver disease? Do you have experience of working in Gastroenterology and Hepatology? Do you want to further your career by undertaking an MD degree in one of the UK’s leading research intensive Universities?
You will support and undertake research in novel magnetic resonance (MR) imaging to identify risks of drug induced liver disease as part of a large European collaborative research group in the TRISTAN project. Your research will focus on proof of concept imaging studies to identify the potential utility of MR imaging in the development of new drugs and in chronic biliary diseases, including primary biliary cholangitis. You will lead your own studies in this area, including clinical studies in patients and healthy volunteers, and contribute to the work of the research group as a whole.
During your employment you will also work towards an MD at the University of Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity if you are a Gastroenterology and/or Hepatology trainee, especially if you are aiming to sub-specialise in Hepatology or pursue an academic career. You will be medically qualified with MRCP or equivalent and full GMC registration.
