Assistant Research Officer (holding a functional title of Programme Co-ordinator) in Global China Social Research Hub, Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 495835) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in Social Sciences, preferable in the area of globalization, migration or labour. They should have proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); rich experience in editorial work, organizing conferences and workshops, knowledge on website management and design. The appointee will assist in planning, managing, coordinating, and implementing research activities in the Global China Social Research Hub.  Research experience in the area of migration and labour in China would be an advantage.
