Overview:

Applications are sought for a Research Technician to provide support towards the UroPanc prospective clinical study.  The research will be based in the Centre for Molecular Oncology, Barts Cancer Institute, within the Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London.

Essential requirements for this post include a BSc or equivalent in a biological or related science or a relevant discipline. Experience of working in a biomedical research laboratory is essential, as well as the experience in working with tissues and body fluid samples. A demonstrated ability to communicate well, work within a team and maintain good laboratory records are also essential.

The post is full time for 4 years. Starting salary range will be £27,251- £31,054 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and an interest free season ticket loan.

The Barts Cancer Institute requires applicants to provide all certificates at interview to confirm their qualifications (specified in the Job Description).

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006.  Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
