Careers & Enterprise are introducing an exciting new post of Student Employability Adviser at Queen Mary, University of London. The post-holder will have the opportunity to work directly with students and play a crucial role in supporting them into work.
The primary focus of the post is to provide application support for students and graduates, giving feedback on CVs, cover letters, application forms and mock interviews. The Careers and Enterprise Team’s mission is to develop the employability of Queen Mary University of London students from their arrival at the University until two years after graduation. The team consists of c. 40 staff, working in partnership with staff and students to provide support across all of Queen Mary’s academic schools. Careers and Enterprise provision falls under four main strands: information, advice and guidance (to support decision-making, job-hunting and job application/assessments); employer engagement (to network students with employers and alumni via events, mentoring, on-site tasters and vacancies); placement services (including internships, student consultancy and a temp agency); and enterprise (a programme of support for students starting or growing their own business).
The post is a full time/part time (negotiable), permanent appointment with an expected start date of September 2019. Starting salary will be in the range of £27,251 - £33,615 per annum (pro rata), inclusive of London Allowance.
