Catering Services Brayford - Atrium

Location: Lincoln
Salary: From £17,364 per annum
This is a part time post of 30 hours per week
Closing Date: Tuesday 18 June 2019
Interview Date: Monday 22 July 2019

The University of Lincoln delivers catering in house and provides a range of high quality services to approximately 15,000 students and staff.

The catering team is looking to develop and enhance its offer in line with its strategy for unique, local and sustainable services. Reporting to the Head Chef this is a new key role to increase production of our unique homemade cakes, slices and pastry goods and reinforce our food offer in terms of quality and provenance. The role will be based in the Theorem kitchen in the Isaac Newton Building and will also include the preparation food for afternoon and evening hospitality events on occasion. We are looking for a qualified and experienced chef specialising in cakes and pastry work who can clearly demonstrate they are up for this challenge and keep up with the demand and introduce some innovative ideas to extend the range. Our cakes and scones sell quickly so if you think you can keep up with the demand we would like to hear from you.

The post is 30 hours a week and a degree of flexibility exists around the shift times, but starting at approximately 3 pm each day to coincide with kitchen availability. Work pattern will be Monday to Friday or Sunday to Thursday but we would consider longer hours and a shorter week subject to the needs of the business.

This position does not fulfil the UK Visas & Immigration sponsorship criteria for Tier 2.
