  • 12 month fixed term position based at La Trobe University Bundoora campus
  • Level A - $67,796 – $90,821  pro rata + up to 17% superannuation
  • Level B - $93,632 - $110,897 pro rata + up to 17% superannuation

About the role

The Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society (ARCSHS) is a centre for social research into sexuality, health and the social dimensions of human relationships. It works collaboratively and in partnership with communities, community-based organisations, government and professionals in relevant fields to produce research that advances knowledge and promotes positive change in policy, practice and people's lives.

The incumbent would work with Associate Professor Christopher Fisher on a range of current and emerging projects related to research on the sexual health knowledge, behaviours and educational experiences of young people.

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will have:

  • Completed a PhD in a relevant field (Level B), or completion of Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and evidence of participation in higher level study relevant to discipline or professional area (Level A).
  • Evidence of experience in research and evaluation and the ability to work effectively under limited supervision or independently;
  • A record of contribution to publications, conference papers and/or reports;
  • Experience in the analysis of quantitative data (e.g., advanced univariate and multivariate procedures), including the capacity to integrate data from a range of sources and of uneven quality;
