Applications are invited for the post of Information Assistant in the Library Services Department.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident, and team-orientated individual to join the Acquisitions and Content Delivery Team as an Information Assistant, contributing to the provision of an effective customer-focused library service.
As part of the Acquisitions and Content Delivery Team, the post holder will contribute to the delivery of an effective and efficient acquisitions and content delivery service, carrying out a varied range of tasks. They will deal with acquisition of print and online books, audio-visual material and print and e-journals administration. The post holder will also fulfil requests for inter-library loan and digital copies for teaching, responding directly to students and academic staff. These are all key responsibilities which contribute to providing an excellent experience for Royal Holloway students.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone seeking experience working in a busy academic library who wishes to develop their knowledge and skills in a number of different acquisitions-related tasks.
You will have a good eye for detail, being able to work quickly and accurately, and will also have good communication and IT skills. You will be committed to your personal development and the Library is committed to providing opportunities and support for your professional development.
Hours of work: Monday – Friday (35 hours).
