THE ROLE:

The Associate Director, Planning & Resources is accountable for providing high level strategic planning and business advice and support to the Executive Dean and School Executive and will ensure the effective and efficient delivery of services to support the School's activities and objectives. The incumbent will lead and manage the Schools operational, financial, human resource/staffing and profile planning, performance, monitoring and reporting, and will lead transformative structural, cultural and work practice changes required to support University, College and School strategic directions.

The Associate Director, Planning and Resources is a member of the School executive team and is required to work collaboratively with all members of the School management team and with staff across the School and College to ensure that the School and College achieve their strategic objectives. The position will work closely with the College Director of Planning and Resources to ensure alignment with College strategic objectives.

KEY CRITERIA:

  • A relevant postgraduate tertiary qualification and extensive relevant management experience, preferably from within the education sector.
  • Demonstrated, substantial experience and expertise in the management of human, physical and financial resources and the effective delivery of services within a large, complex organisation.
  • Demonstrated, substantial experience in leading large-scale, transformational change of culture, structure, roles, responsibilities and processes.
  • Demonstrated successful experience in the development, interpretation and implementation of policy and procedure to progress organisational objectives.
  • High level interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead, direct and influence others.
