ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT FOR CLUB SPORTS, INTRAMURALS AND DAY CAMP, Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation (DAPER), to provide administrative support for club sports, intramurals, and sports camps; and staff the reception desk by receiving visitors, answering the telephone, and contacting staff to confirm appointments. Will ensure a high level of customer service through consistent execution of DAPER and Institute policies and procedures. Responsibilities include assisting the manager of club sports and intramurals with managing the functions assigned; providing administrative organization and facilitating registration for camps; coordinating payments/reimbursements for intramural participants; supporting club sport and intramural student leaders with their daily functions; assisting with event planning and supervision of club events and intramural games as needed; reserving facility space and assisting with scheduling; managing documents and meeting schedules; assisting with program evaluation forms and participant feedback surveys; and assisting with overseeing interns and part-time workers. Reception duties will include contributing to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of department operations; assuring that the reception area is a welcoming space; coordinating mailing services, meeting reservations, and FedEx shipments; helping maintain databases; maintaining the supply room, printing areas, and kitchen; keeping records of budgetary and purchasing transactions for office supplies; and maintaining equipment sign-out records.

REQUIRED: at least three years’ direct/related experience in a customer service role, preferably in collegiate sports; strong computer skills; familiarity with email and electronic calendars; ability to independently organize and prioritize work, multitask, and carry out detailed procedures with minimal supervision despite frequent interruptions; tact and good judgment with confidential information; and a flexible approach to the work environment. Salary range: low to high $40s, depending upon experience
