EVENT SUPPORT ASSISTANT, Campus Activities Complex, to provide administrative support, including space inquiries and reservations, and perform receptionist functions in the CAC reception area. Will provide customer service to students, staff, and faculty; work as part of a team to ensure a smooth, efficient space reservations and logistics process for customers; serve as a primary source of information regarding campus events, event locations, and space availability in the CAC; coordinate vendor program, personal events scheduling, card reader programming, sandwich board and equipment rentals, and the mascot programming. Responsibilities include acting as first point of contact regarding space availability, scheduling procedures, and processing of application forms; providing general administrative support as needed to the director, associate director, assistant directors, supervisor of event planning, and managers; ordering of office supplies for department; helping train student workers and coordinating their work; hiring, training, and overseeing student mascot performers; handling scheduling and billing for personal events, including weddings, memorial services, etc.; coordinating the vendor program including answering inquiries, scheduling, contracts, and billing; overseeing cash voucher reconciliation; coordinating and performing all card programming for W20 4th floor student group office door locks; and overseeing CAC rental equipment program.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: three years’ direct/related experience; ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team; excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; detail orientation; active listening skills; and ability to work effectively despite frequent interruptions. Experience with multitasking and working in a fast-paced office a plus. Excellent computer skills highly desired. Familiarity with event processes and EMS software helpful (training available). Associate’s/bachelor’s degree preferred. Job #17538-5
