Job description

Upskilling Lancashire is a multi-partner project funded by the European Social Fund designed to build workforce development capacity in Lancashire SMEs and to promote apprenticeships.   

The University is seeking to appoint a Project Officer to support the design and delivery of an employer engagement and apprentice placement programme in East Lancashire.  Based at the University's Burnley Campus the successful applicant will actively engage with employers, Colleges and Schools to identify and develop new employment opportunities for individuals interested in a degree apprenticeship programme.  

The Project Officer will be responsible for networking with employers to identify new employment opportunities for apprenticeships. The post-holder will work closely with the University's Recruitment and Partnerships Service to promote degree apprenticeship opportunities to Schools and Colleges.   

The successful candidate will have experience of promoting or selling and of working in a business development or customer facing role. Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience the post holder will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to plan and organise their own work.
