George Mason University would like to invite you to apply for a temporary Administrative Specialist position at the university. This is temporary full-time position that will last for 6 months.

Provide daily administrative support and routine office management for a Department Senior Advisor.

Required Qualifications

  • Significant executive administrative experience, including calendar management, scheduling meetings and arranging conference calls;
  • Ability to use a computer fluently, including Microsoft Office software suite, databases and internet applications;
  • Ability to put together Power Point presentations;
  • Ability to learn GMU systems and establish working relationships across campus;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Ability to prioritize projects and deadlines;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (oral and writing);
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Ability to make independent decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

Some project management experience, with ability to provide support in several ongoing projects.
