The Department of Psychology at Durham University is looking to recruit a Teaching Fellow for a fixed-term period of up to 23 months, starting 1st September 2019 to cover the teaching responsibilities of an academic member of staff taking on a significant leadership role. The position will involve delivery of teaching, assessment and supervision, primarily at postgraduate level but also undergraduate level. The role will support the department’s successful MSc programmes primarily in Developmental Psychopathology, and therefore a background in Developmental Disorders/Developmental Psychopathology is required. The role may also involve covering generic critical thinking and research skills across all the department’s taught postgraduate programmes. Teaching at undergraduate level may be expected across the breadth of the discipline.
The post of Teaching Fellow will involve a significant teaching load, including during the summer period, and there may be related scholarship and the opportunity for administrative duties which relate to education and pedagogy. The Teaching Fellow will be free to follow their research interests where other duties allow but research activity is not part of the job description. The Teaching Fellow would be a member of the Developmental Science research group and the Centre for Developmental Disorders at Durham University.
This post is part time (0.5 FTE) and fixed term for 23 months.
