Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Microbiology (Ref.: 495813), to commence as soon as possible for three years, with the possibility of renewal, subject to satisfactory performance.

This post is created specifically to bring new impetus and vigour to the University’s research enterprise, and to meet strategic research needs identified by the Department of Microbiology.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree, with extensive research experience in immunology, virology, cellular and molecular biology.  Experience with bioinformatics and analysis of NGS sequencing data would be an advantage.  Applicants should also be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team, with good communication skills in English.  The appointee will conduct research on virus host interaction.
