The Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences is the largest, most influential centre of excellence in the UK for oral and dental research, with an outstanding record of quality assurance in learning and teaching. The faculty’s international reputation is reflected by our ranking of 2nd in the QS World University Rankings for Dentistry 2019.

We are now seeking to recruit a highly motivated Lecturer in Mucosal Immunology to join the faculty’s expanding Centre for Host Microbiome Interactions. This appointment will be expected to enhance the research portfolio of the faculty, particularly in the field of Mucosal Immunology.

Applicants should have excellent research track records in studying microbial pathogens and the mucosal immune response in health and disease.  Appointees will be actively encouraged to collaborate with colleagues from other Faculties, to guide researchers and research students and to teach on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. 

The appointment(s) will be made on the Lecturer Grades 6 (£37,412 to £44,015, inclusive of £3,223 per annum London Allowance) / Grade 7 (£45,259 to £53,355, inclusive of £3,223 per annum London Allowance) according to previous experience and academic record.

Interviews will be held on Tuesday 2nd July 2019.
