Lecturer in Host-Fungal Interactions
The Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences is the largest, most influential centre of excellence in the UK for oral and dental research, with an outstanding record of quality assurance in learning and teaching. The faculty’s international reputation is reflected by our ranking of 2nd in the QS World University Rankings for Dentistry 2019.
We are now seeking to recruit a highly motivated Lecturer in Host-Fungal Interactions to join the faculty’s expanding Centre for Host Microbiome Interactions. This appointment will be expected to enhance the research portfolio of the faculty, particularly in the fields of fungal pathogenesis, toxin biology and host responses.
Applicants should have excellent research track records in studying fungal pathogens, cell signalling mechanisms, protein toxins and host immune responses. Appointees will be actively encouraged to collaborate with colleagues from other Faculties, to guide researchers and research students and to teach on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
The appointment(s) will be made on the Lecturer Grades 7 (£45,259 to £53,355 per annum, inclusive of £3,223 per annum London Allowance) according to previous experience and academic record.
Interviews will be held on Tuesday 2nd July 2019.
The selection process will include a panel interview and presentation.
