- $76,199 - $82,355 per annum plus up to 17% superannuation
About the role
The Senior Officer will be part of a team undertaking the Ecosystem Resilience project, which is collecting ecosystem resilience data (habitat structure, floristics and avian data) across a chrono-sequence of fire age classes in two vegetation communities (Lowan Mallee and Heathland Sands – Desert) in the Victorian Mallee (predominantly Big Desert and Little Desert National Parks). They will be responsible for coordination of field work, field safety, data storage and curation, and leading the collection of habitat structure and floristics data in accordance with established protocols and methods.
Skills & Experience
In order to be successful in securing this position, the ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor Degree in Science with specialist skills in botany;
- Proven organisational and interpersonal skills;
- Proven knowledge of field safety requirements and processes, and experience working in remote environments;
- Full drivers licence, experience with 4WD driving
