To support point of care staff caring for patients with a ventricular assist device (VAD) across the continuum of care. To educate staff and patients. To facilitate the safe transition of the VAD patient throughout UAB Medicine. To ensure care provided during procedures follows safe nursing practices.

Salary Range: $22.00 - $39.12

Graduate of a school of Nursing program approved and accredited by the Alabama State Board of Nursing and two (2) years of critical care nursing experience required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred. Experience with mechanical circulatory support preferred. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. Currently certified with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
