Job Description

Our laboratory seeks a senior lab manager and electron microscopy technician to assist in on-going research studies investigating brain structure and physiology of cortical pathways. Basic laboratory managerial responsibilities include ordering, database management, keeping records, safety compliance and maintenance and organization of f laboratory reagents and solutions. The main experimental technique to be performed is immunohistochical staining and sample preparation, thin sectioning, and analyses for electron microscopy, but there is potential for growth to learn light microscopic techniques.

Required Skills

  • A bachelors or masters degree in life sciences, chemistry, or related field, is required
  • Previous laboratory or microscopy experience, especially with Electron Microscopy
  • 3-5 years' work experience
