The Marketing Manager provides strategic leadership associated with creation of marketing deliverables used in print, web, video, and multimedia applications to support recruitment goals and promote brand awareness of the School. This includes the analysis of marketing initiatives, communications strategies, and brand cohesion. The position reports to the Director of Admissions for GSEHD and supervises two direct reports.

The key responsibilities include:

Collaborate with GSEHD faculty and staff to strategically develop marketing assets, with special attention to target populations. Focus on internal customer service.

Develop a marketing strategy to communicate GSEHD’s mission, current initiatives and research, and value of academic programs.

Assist with developing communication plans for prospective graduate students to align marketing deliverables with the School’s admissions and communications efforts.

Analyze and provide meaningful insights and trends from all phases of the marketing process.

Ensure all marketing campaigns are within established budgets, on time, and meet GSEHD’s specifications.

Lead, train, and manage performance of staff.

Manage the work of third-party vendors in the marketing process.

Other duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning additional responsibilities that are logically related to the position.

Minimum Qualifications:    

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 6 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study plus 4 years of relevant professional experience. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:    

Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, or management with experience in marketing or related field; Masters degree is a plus.

Should have progressive experience and success in multi-channel marketing, including: designing and implementing integrated campaigns on web, email, print, social media, and multimedia.

Experience in admissions or an academic setting is desirable.

Success in supervising staff members.

Familiarity with web-development software, database, and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) is desired.

Strong analytical and project management skills.
