The University of Bristol is seeking to appoint a fixed-term part-time (0.4 FTE) Teaching Associate in Music from 1 September 2019 to 30 June 2020.

The successful candidate will deliver lectures in Music History before 1800, as well as contributing to more general units in Music History. It is desirable for the successful candidate to be able to teach widely across the BA Music curriculum. (S)he will be a well-rounded musician, with sufficient expertise in performance that they can examine recitals at undergraduate and MA level. The successful candidate will also make an appropriate administrative contribution to the life of the department of Music (as an academic tutor, for example).

The successful candidate will have, or be about to obtain, a relevant PhD, and to have experience of teaching (especially in a lecture context), ideally in the HE sector.
