We are recruiting for two exceptional individuals to join us as a Lecturer/Early Career Lecturer in Education within the School of Education & Social Work.  Your principal function will be to develop the expertise of the students primarily on the Master of Education (M.Ed)  Programme. 

You will have a masters or doctoral degree in education or relevant field. You will be  a dynamic, ambitious, collegial and engaged teacher educator who can contribute to the academic culture in the School of Education and Social Work, particularly in the areas of teaching and learning, research quality and impact that leads to the enhancement of policy and practice outcomes for children and their families.  

Your priorities will include:

  • Providing excellent teaching and learning experiences for students on appropriate subjects in the School at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
  • Engaging in and publishing high quality research
  • Contributing to the School’s academic and pastoral support for students
  • Contributing to the development of the M.Ed programme

You will have:

  • A masters or doctoral degree in education or relevant subject
  • Experience in providing teacher education
  • Demonstrated ability in research.
  • Experience of IB education and/or TESOL
