Information Technology Manager must be a proven leader with the skills and expertise necessary to support the Information Technology Department in fully implementing the College’s mission and vision.

Duties & Responsibilities:
This position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual who will monitor, develop and advise on the overall security of the College IT infrastructure and systems and to mitigate threats and remediate identified vulnerabilities. The incumbent is also responsible for developing and monitoring the implementation of strategies that reduce risk to the IT network, in support of business continuity.
Candidates should have an outstanding record of industry experience in Information Technology or a related field, and possess the qualifications necessary to be successful in the role of IT Security Senior Specialist. The successful candidate is responsible to manage IT security and IT risk protocols, and ensure system testing is conducted in line with the colleges guidelines. Candidates will configure college IT security systems to protect the college network from malicious activities, and identify compromised college software/hardware and support the development of IT Security strategies, policies and procedures.
Candidates will coordinate with other Stakeholders to establish IT security risk management programs that will support the colleges overall security objectives, conduct risk assessments, and review system controls across the college network. Candidates will be responsible for preparing reports to document IT security and IT risk maintenance, and ensure compliance with International standards, college policies and audit requirements.
Responsibilities also include participating in IT security training programs and committees, to develop and promote security across the college.
The IT Security Senior Specialist will plan and recommend IT Security forecasting and expenditures, in alignment with College policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field required.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in IT or related field.
Language:
Fluency in written and spoken English language.
Other Required Skills:
Ambitious and self-motivated team player with strong IT technical skills and the ability to apply technical knowledge and provide sound comprehensive advice is required. A desire to achieve organizational success and to lead by example is required. A proactive can-do attitude to work and good time management is essential. Good attention to detail is essential and the ability to anticipate change is required. Knowledge of IT Security is required; knowledge of Principles of Information Technology is required. Commitment to positive relationship building and effective working relationships across all levels of the organisations is required. A Commitment to ongoing IT training and continuous professional development is desirable. Candidates should demonstrate explanatory communication and interpersonal skills and fluency in English language is required and Arabic is an asset.
