Working within the Research Development Unit, the Research Development Executive is key to building research capacity and capability across the University within our Research Centres. This post offers an excellent opportunity to support a team of leading academics as well as to help shape, develop and establish Coventry University's exciting, fresh and new research direction.
The post holder will be responsible for the development and growth of a strategic pipeline of prestigious research funding within The Centre for Agroecology, Water and Resilience at Coventry University.
We are interested in hearing from candidates with previous research and funding proposal development and a talent for identifying and exploiting research funding opportunities. Together with a proven ability of preparing and writing quality research proposals with impact, and a track record of supporting successful applications to high profile funding organisations the successful candidate will draw on specific knowledge or experience of a discipline relevant within the centre mentioned below be able to evidence success in securing research project funding. If you have excellent communication and attention to detail, funding proposal development and evaluation skills, detailed knowledge of relevant research funding sources and relevant national and international funders such as ESRC, H2020, Leverhulme Trust and have a postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline we'd like to hear from you.
The Centre for Agroecology, Water and Resilience is driving innovative, transdisciplinary research on the understanding and development of resilient food and water systems internationally.
Through its focus on food and water, the Centre's research develops and integrates new knowledge in social, agroecological, hydrological and environmental processes, as well as the pivotal role that communities play in developing resilience. Unique to this Centre is the incorporation of citizen-generated knowledge - the participation of farmers, water users and other citizens in transdisciplinary research, using holistic approaches which cross many disciplinary boundaries. CAWR also aims to advance resilience science through creative work on a new generation of key issues linked to the governance of food systems, hydrological change, urban water, river processes,water quality and emerging pollutants.
