Applications are invited for appointment as temporary Lecturer in the School of Modern Languages and Cultures (Ref.: 495482), to commence on September 1, 2019 for 10 months.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in East Asian Studies, China Studies and/or Korean Studies or a related field by the start of appointment, with 3 to 5 years of experience in teaching after the award of a Master’s degree.  Preference will be given to those with expertise in the fields of late imperial and modern China, modern or pre-modern Korean literature or culture, though fields of specialty is open.  Fresh doctoral degree graduates are also welcome to apply. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
