Applications are invited for a 36 months post of a UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 in Genomics within UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science

The Disruptive Technology Innovation Fund (DTIF) project (Beyond Food Labelling) that funds this UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 position will involve close collaboration with IdentiGEN Ltd. to develop and implement a novel DNA profiling system that will operate at unparalleled scale and marginal cost.

This is a research focused role, where you will conduct a specified programme of research supported by research training and development under the supervision and direction of a Principal Investigator.

The primary purpose of the role is to further develop your research skills and competences, including the processes of publication in peer-reviewed academic publications, the development of funding proposals, the mentorship of graduate students along with the opportunity to develop your skills in research led teaching.

This role will involve close collaboration with IdentiGEN Ltd. and the successful applicant will be part of a team of academic and industry researchers working together to achieve the defined objectives of the Beyond Food Labelling project. 

Salary: €37,223 - €43,029 per annum. 

Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
