Rector of Masaryk University invites applications for:
MUNI Award in Science and Humanities
Excellent scientists of any field of science are invited to apply to gain the MUNI Award in Science and Humanities.
The Award offers the opportunity to get:
- Tenure-track with an initial appointment for 3 years and a possibility to gain a permanent contract.
- The annual budget of 5 000 000 CZK (approx. 220 000 USD) for a 5 year period.
- Associate or Full Professorship.
- Laboratory and office space for research team + Ph.D. students.
- Access to the existing state-of-the-art research equipment.
- Welcome service and administrative support.
The successful candidate should be:
- an ERC holder (Starting Grant, Consolidator Grant) or any other prestigious individual grant
The application should include:
- A record of obtaining the ERC grant or any other prestigious individual grant.
- CV including a summary of work experience, publication activity, teaching, involvement in research grants, etc.
- A Cover Letter including the key technical or staff requirements.
OR
- an ERC applicant (Starting Grant, Consolidator Grant) with the mark A from the step 2 of the ERC evaluation process who were not funded because of the limited budget of ERC funds.
The application should include:
- Basic information about the ERC proposal, form B of the proposal and its Evaluation Summary Report.
- CV including a summary of work experience, publication activity, teaching, involvement in research grants, etc.
- The contact information of at least three references.
- A Cover Letter including the key technical or staff requirements.
OR
- An excellent scientist with outstanding subject competence and proven track record of high-quality scientific productivity as judged by publications in high-impact peer-reviewed journals adequate to applicant a) or b)
The application should include:
- A project in the scope of form B1 of an ERC grant.
- CV including a summary of work experience, publication activity, teaching, involvement in research grants, etc.
- The contact information of at least three references.
- A cover Letter explaining the motivation of the candidate to gain the position, his/her future career plans at Masaryk University and including the key technical or staff requirements.
Anticipated start date: The position is available from 2020.
