Programs and Partnerships Manager, Young and Resilient Research Centre, ICS
The Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) is host to the Young and Resilient Research Centre, incorporating the Intergener8 Living Lab. Young and Resilient embraces an integrated mode of R&D, education, training and enterprise to research and develop technology based products, services and policies that strengthen the resilience of young people and their communities, enabling them to live well and participate fully in social and economic life. Young and Resilient has several local, national and international projects underway with partners ranging from Parramatta City Council to UNICEF, New York.
Young and Resilient auspices the Intergener8 Living Lab, which has, to date, engaged over 100 individuals and organisations in developing a co-research and co-design entity, supported by a vibrant community of practice and a toolkit (comprising an engaged policy making framework, a digital emotion mapping tool, an online consultation platform, and a holistic measure of individual and community digital capacities).
The Programs and Partnerships Manager is responsible for managing and helping to strategically grow the overarching program of research and the day to day management of research support team activities in the Centre. This role will work closely with Young and Resilient’s Director(s) along with the Institute Research Director, Institute Manager and Senior Business Development Manager and be responsible for the start-up phase of the Young and Resilient Research Centre and building/ consolidating the necessary relationships internal and external to Western Sydney University to secure our success.
This role will also support research leads across the innovative and diverse project streams, including the development of new grant proposals. The Young and Resilient Research Centre’s Programs and Partnerships Manager will also be responsible for oversight of a ‘light’ Project Management Office (PMO) to support delivery of research projects.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position for three years with a possible extension based at our Parramatta Campus.
It is a mandatory requirement for any incumbent of this position to have a current NSW Employee Working with Children Clearance in accordance with the NSW Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 8 $116,184 to $128,978 p.a. (comprising Salary of $98,177 to $108,988 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
