The Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) is host to the Young and Resilient Research Centre, incorporating the Intergener8 Living Lab. Young and Resilient embraces an integrated mode of R&D, education, training and enterprise to research and develop technology based products, services and policies that strengthen the resilience of young people and their communities, enabling them to live well and participate fully in social and economic life. Young and Resilient has several local, national and international projects underway with partners ranging from Parramatta City Council to UNICEF, New York.
Young and Resilient auspices the Intergener8 Living Lab, which has, to date, engaged over 100 individuals and organisations in developing a co-research and co-design entity, supported by a vibrant community of practice and a toolkit (comprising an engaged policy making framework, a digital emotion mapping tool, an online consultation platform, and a holistic measure of individual and community digital capacities).
The Senior Research Officer will work closely with Young and Resilient’s Programs and Partnerships Manager, Research Program Leaders, School-Based Researchers, the ICS Manager and the ICS Administration Team to provide research guidance and development support across the Research Centre with a primary focus on engagement; project administration and grant development activities.
The Senior Research Officer will be responsible for undertaking primary research, gathering research materials and data, publications, data entry and analysis, preparation of reports, organising meetings and events, and preparing and tracking budgets. The incumbent will also be responsible for pre and post-award management, financial management and other administrative duties across Young and Resilient’s projects.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position for three years with a possible extension based at our Parramatta Campus.
It is a mandatory requirement for any incumbent of this position to have a current NSW Employee Working with Children Clearance in accordance with the NSW Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 7 $104,004 to $112,222 p.a. (comprising Salary of $87,885 to $94,829 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
