The Liverpool Centre for Advanced Policing Studies is seeking to appoint an individual who has significant practice experience in the policing environment and who can evidence a proven track record in policy/practice/ training innovation.

As part of our expanding Policing Studies team you will play a key role in ensuring that our portfolio remains at the cutting edge of policy and practice developments. You will be able to provide clear evidence of an interest in higher education, mentoring and evidence based policing. You will use your knowledge and experience to make an active contribution to our expanding group of undergraduate programmes and apprenticeships in Policing at LJMU.

You should have a good first degree and a significant experience in the field of policing or crime scene investigation. It is desirable that the candidates have a post-graduate qualification linked to policing or a related area. This should be coupled with evidence of an appropriate level of experience within a learning and development environment, and a commitment to developing teaching excellence. Applicants should be able to evidence their use of evidence to inform policy and practice, and show a commitment to developing both their own practice and the practice of others.
