As a member of the Undergraduate Admissions team the Senior Program Coordinator, Visits and Events creates a welcoming campus experience for prospective students, guests, and visitors. Assists with the planning/development of outreach and recruitment programming. Supervises 2 Program Coordinators, Visits and Events staff members; engages in evaluation, assessment, and benchmarking efforts of programs, student development, and outreach programming. Supervises and provides ongoing support and development to student leadership positions within the University Ambassador Program and Recruitment Host programs. Provides and supports leadership strategy for University Ambassadors and Recruitment Host programs. Engages in evaluation, assessment, and benchmarking efforts of University Ambassador and Recruitment Host programs. Assists with interviewing, hiring, training, supervision and ongoing development of 140+ student employees. Learns and uses the CRM, Student Information System, Internal and External Event Registration systems, and other technologies to perform timely and accurate entries into databases regarding student information, call/email activity and other processes, performs data validation. Manages electronic work-flows. Manages visit evaluation process for visit overview presenters. Liaison with overview presenters on ongoing public speaking training. Manager and administrator for campus visit reservation system. Manages campus visit publications and marketing materials. Develops tour routes and scripts that are in line with the units strategic marketing and recruitment plans. Evaluates effectiveness of campus visits and provides constructive feedback. Establishes and manages work-flow and schedules to meet staffing goals and meet customer demand. Manages campus visits department budget. Counsels and corresponds with students, families, university departments, or other stakeholders regarding Ohio State visit and event needs, policies, procedures, and general information over the phone, via email, and in person. Conducts large and small-group presentations. Learns and maintains knowledge of the areas within the office and university to best direct questions from staff and guests. Researches and resolves problems. Assists with on and off campus recruitment events and projects. Provides support to access, diversity, and inclusion on/off campus programs and initiative. Review applications (domestic, international, transfer, special population) through our holistic application review process – actual time commitment will fluctuate through the year. Serves as a resource for staff in securing students and young alums for events both on and off campus. Participate as an active member of Undergraduate Admissions through membership on committees. Completes special assignments and other duties as assigned.
