VICE-PRINCIPAL EDUCATION

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional individual to join the Senior Management Team of the University to work alongside the Principal, Senior Vice-Principal and three other Vice-Principals to develop and implement the academic strategy that will drive the University forward. 

The Vice-Principal (Education) will be accountable through the Principal to the University Court for leading all aspects of institutional strategy and policy relating to the educational experience of our students (undergraduate and postgraduate).  This will include all aspects of quality assurance, enhancement, progression, attainment, employability and non-academic student experience activities including student support.  There will be a strong emphasis on leading, developing, implementing, reviewing and continually enhancing our support for students (including online learners) and our overall student experience.   

Along with the other members of the Senior Management Team, the Vice-Principal (Education) will assist the Principal in achieving the University’s objectives of inclusiveness, interdisciplinarity, internationalisation and sustainability.  

The Vice-Principal (Education) will work closely with the Vice-Principal (Student Recruitment), Vice-Principal (International Partnerships) and Vice-Principal (Research) to ensure that the educational strategy supports all agendas and provides for an excellent academic and non-academic experience for all students, including overseas campus and on-line students. 

The successful candidate will demonstrate well-developed leadership and management skills, with a proven track record in motivating individuals and multidisciplinary teams to deliver improvements in attainment and progression.  Demonstrable experience in leading the delivery of the undergraduate and postgraduate learning and teaching, coupled with the implementation of innovative teaching and learning practices and policies is essential.  

A competitive salary will be offered on the Professorial salary scale (Grade 9) and subject to negotiation.
