Job Summary

We are looking for a full time research technician associate to work in the Department of Psychiatry, Neuropsychology section as part of a research team studying neuropsychological and neurobiological aspects of mood disorders. The emphasis on the research position is on administration and scoring of standardized neuropsychological tests to participants with a range of psychiatric illnesses.

Responsibilities*

The RTA will work closely with faculty and staff in all aspects of research including database management and analysis, and assist with research proposals, creation of posters, papers, and presentations to scientific meetings, and other activities to support research

Required Qualifications*

The preferred candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or equivalent education and experience. Excellent clinical skills and superior verbal and written communication skills are critical. Candidates must have knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Redcap as well as experience with database creation, management and analysis. Preference is for knowledge in statistical analysis packages such as SPSS or other research laboratory programs.

Desired Qualifications*

The ideal candidate is someone who has interest in psychology, cognitive neuroscience, or medicine and is motivated to be part of a research group to gain experience and knowledge prior to attending professional school and who can make a 2 year full time commitment to our research team.

Monday-Friday, 9-5pm

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
