Student Digital Assistant
We have a number of casual opportunities ($34.51 hourly rate) for Student Digital Assistant's to join the Learning Environments and Transformations team based at either the Townsville or Cairns campus.
What you can accomplish in the role
You will be a key part of ensuring the subjects delivered through the online student learning environment (LearnJCU) provides an effective student experience and meets the Student Digital Experience baseline standards. Working as part of a team, you will assist with the migration of subjects to the new LearnJCU Ultra experience and implement a series of digital transformations based on the new baseline standards. Support includes the auditing of existing subject sites and assisting with the conversion of subject materials and media to meet accessibility guidelines. You may also produce guides and support materials explaining the conversion steps as well as working with academics to assist them in the process. In addition to this, you will also be required to participate in user experience studies which may require the facilitation of student focus groups under the guidance of Educational Designers and Learning Experience Designers.
What you will bring to the role

An ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, problem solve and follow through on completion of tasks is essential.
