Position Description
Harvard’s Department of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology (HSCRB http://hscrb.harvard.edu/faculty), a joint department bridging the Faculty or Arts and Sciences and Harvard Medical School (HMS), is currently recruiting tenure-track faculty in Immunology to join its multi-disciplinary research and teaching faculty. Candidates with a PhD, MD, or equivalent degree, a track-record of significant research accomplishments, and an innovative research program focused on basic or applied questions in immunobiology, including innate and adaptive immune responses, autoimmunity, immunoengineering, and immunological aspects of tissue homeostasis and repair, are invited to apply. The successful candidate will join a robust and interactive community of immunologists within and outside the department, and will be located at HMS, together with the HMS Department of Immunology.
New faculty will benefit from state-of-the-art research facilities, strong institutional and departmental commitment to career development, and a vibrant, collaborative research enterprise that brings together fundamental biology and medical science to create unique scientific and educational opportunities. Appointments will be made at the academic rank of assistant or associate professor, in accordance with the candidate’s experience and accomplishments. The appointee will teach and advise undergraduate, graduate and medical students. We strongly encourage applications from women and minority candidates. The appointment is expected to begin on July 1, 2020 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Basic Qualifications
Doctorate or terminal degree in an applicable field required by the time the appointment begins.
Additional Qualifications
Strong research record and a commitment to undergraduate teaching and graduate training.
