About the opportunity 

The Contract Manager - Clinical Trials, will be responsible for supporting the Director, CDIP in the development and implementation of a framework, guidelines and processes for managing Clinical Trial agreements. This includes assisting researchers to set up clinical trials by establishing contracts; completing, reviewing and recommending execution of standard contracts to the Director, CDIP and the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research) (PVC-R), and consulting closely with the Office of General Counsel on non-standard contracts to provide instructions, negotiate commercial terms and incorporate legal advice.

• Experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating, executing and managing a large volume of research and research related agreements involving an industry partner or clinical trial, in a large and complex environment, preferably in the higher education sector.
• Sound experience in clinical trial contractual review.
• The ability to identify complex legal contractual issues, negotiate and influence research related contractual matters with internal and external stakeholders, partners and clients.
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of the requirements of working with and supporting a high performing collaborative team.
• Postgraduate academic qualification and/or extensive equivalent relevant experience in contract administration and/or the clinical trials sector.
• Experience working as an in house lawyer or contract administrator
