The School of Chemistry has a vacancy for a Technical Assistant in its Undergraduate Teaching Laboratories. The position is part time (22.5 hours per week working mornings 5 days a week) and will be offered on an open-ended basis.

Primary duties will include:-

• Performing general housekeeping in the laboratory, such as removal and handling of both hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
• Assist with maintaining stocks of materials and consumables, e.g. by participating in stock takes and receiving orders.
• Preparing and clearing experimental kits required for teaching and outreach activities under direction following clearly defined procedures.
