Applications are invited for appointment as Research Officer (RO)/Assistant Research Officer (ARO) in the Department of Psychiatry (Ref.: 495705), to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in psychology, nursing, social work, occupational therapy, clinical psychology, or other related disciplines, with at least 5 years’ experience in research programme management. They should have an excellent command of written English, strong leadership and management skills, good coordination, communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team. The appointee will coordinate various component projects in the Psychosis Studies and Intervention Team. He/She will assist the Principal Investigators in managing the operational, coordination and logistical aspects of a wide range of research processes and activities. He/She will liaise with site partners and funding agencies, coordinate on-site assessments, manage clinical data, assure data quality, draft reports, and handle ethical review applications and processes. Those with less experience may be appointed as ARO.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary for RO, or up to 10% of basic salary for ARO. For RO, housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
